Big Day

We had a big day today. First off, Gage went in for a MRI. He has some developmental delays, which until a couple weeks ago we thought were just due to his prematurity. ( He was born 10 weeks early). The pediatrician was concerned that he was too far behind and that we needed to see a neurologist. It is a long process, because any pediatric specialists that we will need to see come from Primary Children's hospital in SLC. and they usually only come once a month or even less, once every three months. So we had to fill out an application and then get an appt time, and hope it is a day we can work with. Anyway, we saw the neurologist and after an exam he decided that he thought he knew what was wrong but he wanted to do a MRI to make sure. So that was today. Gage had to be sedated, so we got there at 6:30 am, got a weight, and height and then put on a cute little hospital gown. After about a 15 minute wait, they took him into the MRI room. I went and tried to get myself lost in the hospital. And when I finally found the waiting room I found out they moved the vending machines, and so I sat there reading a book and starving. When they got all done about an 1 1/2 later I had him back in my arms. He had a breathing tube (which they took out before coming back to see me) and also an IV. He hates IV's. After I got him, it was only about 30 minutes before we were able to leave. He did really well. He came home and napped, and when he woke up was a super happy boy.(Like always) We should find out in the next couple weeks (I hope) the results of the test and I will fill you in.

We have more great news. Tanner and Kathryn both received awards today in school. This is so awesome. i am so proud of them. All the kids are doing really well in school and loving their teachers, and classes.

Tanner received the Hero Hunt award for Responsibility. His teacher said this,"Tanner has shown to be responsible in many ways. He obeys the rules, puts things where they belong, cooperates with others and the teacher. I know I can count on him to do the right thing. Your doing an excellent job! Keep it up!" For those of you who have known Tanner through his 6 1/2 years of life, this is an awesome accomplishment. Way to go Tanner!!!

Kathryn received the Super Scholar award. That means she is doing great in her school work, and behaviors. AWESOME Job Kathryn!!

We went to a celebration dinner. Which is tradtion when one or more of the kids gets an award. It's our way of saying Great Job!
Right after dinner, Jared went to SLC to do work. He took Cori with him to be his helper. Its great since this is the end of the pay period and he is doing extra work. I am okay with him being gone. It is only 2 or 3 days, as long as I don't have to leave the house with the boys alone, I will be happy. Unfortunately, I will probably go to church alone. which is managable, but not enjoyable. Hope you have a great weekend.

Congrats kids! Jared and Cori made it here safely. I was too tired to wait up but I saw them this morning. Miss you and the rest of the clan!
