I did it!!

I ran my first 5k! It was great. well as great as running can be. But I think I really enjoyed it. It was hard work. But I made it to the finish line and way under the time I saw myself getting. 38 minutes. YEAH. I am very excited about it. I came in 27th in my age group and 124th over all. Not bad for my first race. A friend of mine got a couple pictures before the race, maybe I can get them from her and then I will post them. It was a fun day. I had two friends there with me until they said go. It really helped my nerves. and they were there at the finish line cheering me on. I saw Jared's head first, so I knew the family made it too. It was great to have them there cheering for me, and walking with me after the race was done. I am so glad I went through with it, and didn't back out. The race was in Washington-I think, anyway it was Run 4 Kids benefiting the Learning Center for Families. This organization helps kids with special needs, and their families. They had a 1k fun run for kids, 5k & 10k. It was so great to see all these people out running, and knowing the money went to help all those kids and families, which includes us. I am so greatful for their help. Gage is doing great, and with their help he is progressing.
I am glad I ran, and I am glad its done. I feel a relief.

Thanks everyone for the encouragment. I'm definitely not ready for a marathon, but you are welcome to come and stay at our house and we'll feed you, so all you would need to worry about is gas. I would come and cheer you on too. I have some friends running in it. Would be fun!!
